The data transfer rate of the 56 kbps MODEM is acceptable, although the display of
photographs and large graphic images may be slow -- depending on your telephone
transmission quality. A dedicated data line (e.g., ISDN) will increase transmission speed. |
Poor ¾ Photographs
may be of poor quality, with loss of color and fine detail may be evident. Graphic images
will also be of poor quality. Text may be difficult to read on screen. No customized
colored backgrounds, textures, and text colors will be displayed with Netscape 1.0 or
Mosaic. The data transfer rate of the 28.8 or lower kbps MODEM is slow, and will
result in acceptable the display of text documents. However, photographs and large graphic
images will be very slow. |
