Secretary The secretary of the Palouse Unit is responsible for keeping track of members and photographing events. Additionally, he/she is responsible for keeping & documenting minutes of all general and executive committee meetings and making them accessible to all members of the unit.
Kristen Pilcher Kristen is a senior working towards her bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Conservation Biology as well as a minor in fish ecology. This past summer she received a DeVlieg grant to conduct research towards her undergraduate thesis under Dr. Brian Kennedy. She stayed at Taylor Ranch Wilderness Field Station on Big Creek in the Frank Church Wilderness where she studied environmental impacts on the outmigration of juvenile Chinook salmon. Besides research activities she enjoyed the great fly fishing Big Creek has to offer. Kristen greatly enjoys participating in AFS events and is excited to take on the role of secretary for the 2009-2010 school year. Among her other favorite activities are rock climbing and bouldering, horseback riding, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
