1.1 Description

Historical Development of Aquatic Restoration
The purpose of this section is to develop an understanding of the development of aquatic ecosystem restoration over time. You should understand the evolving nature of these restoration efforts.

What You Have to Do

In this module you will complete the required learning resources listed below by listening to Falter's perspective, doing the assigned readings, viewing the slideshow, and then reading the eReserve articles. After completing the learning resources you will take part in a group discussion on this topic.  I'll kick it off. Check the Activities heading in this module to understand what you need to do to participate in the discussion.

Activities

Introductory Discussion: If you are unfamiliar with Blackboard then participate in a discussion with your fellow students using the Blackboard discussion tool. Thoughts and/or  questions to consider are located in the Discussion Topic area under Historical ARE. To access this tool, click on this link: Password Protected Icon  Blackboard. You will be prompted for your username (the first part of your U of I email) and password. After you have logged in, click on the Discussion link on the Blackboard Home Page. Here you will see several discussion titles, click on Historical ARE. Then click on my first posting. This is where you will locate the questions I want you to consider. Remember to treat this like a conversation.

For future discussion topics after this one you will be required at minimum to respond to my initial question and to several of your fellow students' responses.

If you have any questions on how to use the Blackboard discussion tool, check out the Help Docs. If you have any other questions or concerns please let me know: cmfalter@moscow.com
