4.2 Small Group Project: I would like
you to participate in a small group project using the
Blackboard
discussion tool. I have randomly divided you into new small groups.
To view which group you belong to go to the discussion
area of Blackboard.
There are four groups: StreamGroup01,
Each working group will be assigned one of the stressor
categories listed below. Jointly prepare a status assessment of your
stressor category for American streams and rivers at the beginning of the
21st century. Use tables and figures to make your points and effectively
summarize those points in a narrative. The narrative should be
approximately 3 pages long plus the citations, tables, and figures. Upload
the finished Word document to 4.2 Stressors in the Assignment
Upload section of Blackboard.
Stressor Categories:
Drainage, Channelization, and Flow Alteration
Point Sources and Chemical Loading
Impoundments
Over-grazing and Riparian Degradation
In-Stream Placer Mining
Sedimentation
Please use your designated group discussion topic
area in Blackboard as much as possible. This will allow me to stay apprised of
your progress as well as provide help when needed.
