STEP 2 of 2
Step 1 - Technical Check
Step 2 - Course Introduction

Please review the material below and in the course syllabus to orient yourself to the course.

There is one additional password you will need to do things in this class:

Blackboard is the course software the University of Idaho provides for you to submit assignments, engage in threaded discussions, and view your progress in the course.  Within the course home page when you click on Blackboard you will be asked for your Username and password.

In Blackboard, your username & password are your University username and password. Go to http://support.uidaho.edu to change your password at any time. That should be pretty simple, however, since some of you are not regular UI students you may not be sure what your UI Username is.  Not to worry!  In separate email, I will send you individually your UI Username if you need it.

Finally, all of the course readings have been scanned into PDF files by the UI Library electronic reserve where you can read or download them with Adobe Acrobat.

Whew!  You must feel like you are visiting Fort Knox.  One trick to make this go easier is to check the "Save password" box in the log-in screen if you will mostly be accessing the course from one computer.

When can you start?  Well, you can look around at the first lessons in the site and start as soon as you have your passwords.  We have worked very hard to offer the you the very first on-line course in Human Dimensions of Restoration Ecology, and we want it to be a quality educational experience.  Please feel free to email me or call me if you have any further questions.  Also, please email me with any concerns that may arise or suggestions to improve the course.

We look forward to working with you!

Please read the Syllabus for information about the class. Contact the instructors if you have questions.
