The University of Idaho Experimental Forest was created as an "Outdoor Classroom and Laboratory" in 1932.  It has grown to over 8,000 acres and has seen uses ranging from class field trips, research, demonstrations, workshops to a training ground for the ROTC programs on campus.

We welcome researchers in our forest.  In order to help you with your research project, we need to know more about the type of research you are doing.  By filling out this survey you could also prevent delays, interference or damage to your research project.

YOU MUST HAVE UIEF APPROVAL BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR PROJECT!
