| Biography:
Josh
joined the Department of Forest Resources to pursue a M.S. in Forest
Resources under the guidance of Dr. Alistair Smith. His graduate research
involves the development of a combustion classification system for coarse
woody debris. Josh also serves as the Air Quality and Smoke Management
Coordinator to develop educational materials for fire personnel and
coordinate regional workshops for the Fire Air Coordination Team.
Josh received a B.S. from the
University of Idaho Rangeland Ecology and Management Department in 2007,
and has
conducted vegetation inventory and related field work for the USFS, BLM, and
Ecosystem Management Research Institute. Other interests include fire
effects, the combustion process, rangeland ecology, and plant ecology.
