Mission Statement
To stimulate discussion and understanding of scientific and practical range and pasture problems. To promote the recognition and understanding of rangeland resources. To provide a medium for the exchange of ideas and facts among club members, allied scientists, and technologists. To encourage the professional development of members, and have fun.

What We Do
Range Club participates in a variety of activities each year and is always open to ideas for new activities. The club collects and mounts plants to sell to 4-H and FFA clubs and Extension educators. We clean up our piece of adopted highway as a community service. We engage in professional development through attendance at workshops, seminars, and field days. Some unique and fun hands-on activities include sheep shipping, skeet shooting, club BBQs and dutch-oven cookouts, and involvement with local high schools and 4-H/FFA clubs. Fundraising is an essential part of paying for activities and travels to Society for Range Management (SRM) professional meetings. The SRM meetings are our biggest event each year where students can participate in one or more of the following events:

Student Activities in the Society for Range Management
University Student Conclave

How Can I Join?
Just join us at our next meeting!
Meetings are held every other Tuesday in the Range Reading Room (CNR 206) at 5:30 pm. Check our CALENDAR

The only club "dues" are an active participation in club fundraising and other activities. Anyone can join, you do not have to be a Range Major, but you'll need an interest in having fun, helping the community and making people more aware of our wonderful natural resources around us. Members are encouraged to join the Society for Range Management, which is only $35 a year for students, but membership in the Society is not required.
