Advice for Speakers
Making a Poster

At the end of each semester you will make a poster and present it in a group poster session. You will give a short talk about the work described on the poster, telling those who attend the session about your proposed or completed thesis or internship. Following the presentation, you will answer questions posed by students and faculty
The talk and the poster generally follow the proposal or final report closely, but in a much more simplified and condensed form, with illustrations, of course, on the poster, to fit into the short speaking time and within the size constraints of a poster. Below is a general outline of what should appear on the poster.
In addition to what is on the actual poster, you will at the beginning of the talk, just after saying the title, thank your mentor or advisor and any others who helped you. At the end of the talk, you will tell the listeners briefly about the value of the project to you and give some advice to student listeners based on your experiences with the project..

Put your name and affiliation (UI) on your poster.  Get the UI logo to put on your poster here: www.uidaho.edu/its/uilogo.htm
