Position Title:  Fisheries Technician

Agency/location:  University of Idaho / Columbia River Basin

Responsibilities:  Positions are available for field work to evaluate upstream passage of Pacific lamprey and Chinook salmon in the Columbia River basin.  For these projects, fish will be collected at Bonneville, McNary and Little Goose dams, outfitted with radio transmitters and monitored using fixed and mobile radio receivers as they migrate upstream.  An associated study will also be conducted at Bonneville Dam to evaluate behavior of adult lamprey in fishways using an experimental fish ladder. 

Qualifications: We are looking for motivated, dependable, and hardworking individuals interested in anadromous fisheries research.  Previous experience with radio telemetry and boat operation desired but not required.  We will train you as needed for individual tasks.

Salary: Based on experience and abilities wages $9.00 to $12.00/hr.  Housing and board provided.
