Studies in
wildland hydrology and watershed management at the University of Idaho are
primarily focused on hydrologic processes and the impact of natural and
human-induced landcover changes on the mass and energy fluxes occurring in
wildland systems.
Specific areas of research
include:
Impacts of vegetation
and topography on snow processes in forest and rangelands
Measurement and modeling
of hydrologic processes in forested systems
Development of tools to
assess the cumulative effects of land management on riparian systems
Impacts of vegetation
and topography on riparian microclimates
Ph.D. research assistantship
